Building function replacement from the transformer station to a storage building included following design activities:
• programmed demolition works sequences with simultaneous introduction of strengthening elements
• foundations strengthening
• removal of the first floor structure
• columns stiffening to provide local stability due to increased slenderness
• steel vertical bracings for the lateral stability of the structure with increased floor height and without elements which have been previously providing building stability
• slab on grade
